Hey everyone,
Today we are going to continue talking about all the different types of action cards.
Perk cards,
As said in a previous dev blog, the attributes of your hero can be boosted to make him stronger. This is why you will have the chance to find perk cards. Each card will boost a heroes attributes for a certain amount.
Small notice: where will be restriction on the maximum quantity of perk cards a hero can equip.
As the main focus of the game is to accomplish quests (which will give the player prestige points, more on that in a later dev blog). The maximum amount of perk cards a player can equip will go as follow:
0 prestige – 1 perk card
3 prestige – 2 perk cards
6 prestige – 3 perk cards
It’s possible to lift this restrictions, but that could potentially lead to one of the players being overpowered just by pure luck of finding more perk cards then the others.
Trade cards,
Would it be nice to force another player to exchange a most valuable card with you? Well it’s easily done with a trade cards. The card will simply indicate which type of cards is exchanged with which one. The player playing this card will select both cards, the one he is giving, and the one he want to receive. The second player will have no other choice then to accept the exchange.
Luck cards,
This one is a tricky one. The only question you need to ask yourself before playing if: “am I willing to risk it?”. If you decide to play it, then you will only need to roll a d20 dice, check the result of the roll. And look on the card what is the result of this roll. You could be lucky and steal cards from your opponent, or draw additional cards. But if you have bad luck, you could be forced to discard cards or even give them to another player.
Trick cards,
Trick cards have one purpose but are used in different situations, they let you bend the rules of the game. Have you made a weak dice roll, you could easily boost your result with the appropriate card. Or you can make an opponent automatically loose a test. Each card will have a specific role that will help you in your quest.
Next dev blog we will finish the remaining action cards.
